Wonderful! The different pages made this book go by fast and difficult to put down.

Goodreads seems to have deleted the fact that I read this book as well as my review of it. It was amazing. Five stars amazing.

i thought this was such an interesting way to tell a story! this definitely pushed the definition of what is considered a "page" (thank you for inflating my average page count illuminae :) like come on, a solid 50 of these pages were basically blank)

the beginning was for sure confusing, but nevertheless she persisted. i <3 chapter summaries!!

i liked kady and ezra together but man... like... plot wise i wish ezra could commit to the bit of being dead. like he was lowkey resurrected (for me mentally) twice! ezra! stop! they were so cute idrc.

aidan is genuinely terrifying. not because of the killing 2000 people part (which, btw, that little chunk of pages was so impactful) but because of the kady picture of kady. stop it! what was that!!! eughhhh. lowkey i seriously thought aidan had a crush on kady! stopppp!!!

i really liked kady's journal entries and the like text correspondence parts. super ~authentic~ and engaging.

jimmy's death was so heartbreaking. like his goodbye and then the audio :( another part that just broke my heart was kady saying she literally has nothing left. like im pretty averagely materialistic i think(?) but the thought of not even being able to have kept the clothes on my back is so sad. omg and then when kady's mom wouldn't let her be transferred onto the copernicus with her :( stop ugh this book was just a huge bummer. like everyone they loved died this is so ughhh.

i don't really know what the sequel can do from here? but im sat. might be in a few weeks, might be in 2 days. who knows!

overall, a SUPER cool reading experience!!! i loved how sassy everyone was. the audiobook narrators were, for the most part, amazing. the "briefing note" voice was terrifying but the security guy being like a surfer dude was hilarious. where was he even sitting the whole time to just be camped out watching these feeds??

4.5

Okay this exceeded my expectations. I’ve had this book on my shelf for over a year and the urge to read it can over me finally. It felt like a Star Wars/ maze runner/ avengers: age of ultron crossover and I was so engaged. I feel like the first half was not as good but the second half had me fully transported. Only took off a couple points because I feel like it being written through mixed media sorta stopped me from feeling attached to the characters.
