Για τη Τζονγκ-Μιν, η βαρυχειμωνιά έγινε άνοιξη όταν προσπάθησε να ξαναβγεί στον έξω κόσμο και πέρασε τυχαία έξω από ένα εργαστήριο κεραμικής. Και έμεινε εκεί, να κάνει νέους φίλους και να δημιουργεί τη ζωή της από την αρχή, ένα κεραμικό τη φορά, μια κούπα καφέ και ένα γέλιο τη φορά.
Σε αυτό το μαγικό μέρος, η Τζονγκ-Μιν θα ανακαλύψει τον εαυτό της από την αρχή.
Αυτό το βιβλίο μίλησε στην καρδούλα μου. Μου ήταν πολύ γνώριμο το συναίσθημα αυτό, του να σώζεσαι από μια δραστηριότητα. Το να απασχολείς τα χέρια σου για να μην απασχολείς το μυαλό σου, να βρίσκεις θαλπωρή στη δημιουργία αλλά και στη μικρή κοινότητα που συνήθως δημιουργείται μέσα από την αγάπη για δημιουργία. Και κάπως έτσι, για μένα αυτό ήταν ένα απολύτως relatable βιβλίο της κατηγορίας των feel-good βιβλίων, ένα βιβλίο με μια έξτρα δόση θαλπωρής.

The book is a little bit indifferent. It doesn’t resonate and leaves the reader ”cold”. Despite it is interesting to see a glimpse of a southkorean culture and habits
4.5 ⭐️ This was so heartwarming and cozy. I loved the characters in here and all their stories. I was so sad finishing this book, I loved it so much.

Although a little plain, I was pleased to have parts of the book stick out to me. It was a slow journey to the characters' finding their peace, and I think it reflects reality really. Not much else to really say about the story!
Other personal ramblings include: why does the translator half-arsedly translate some of the Korean words into English?, and do we think Keith Brymer Jones would like this book?

After adoring Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop, I thought I'd enjoy this one too...
I called this book The Boring Season of Boredom in my head. I couldn't wait to finish it. It had only 270 pages but it felt like a 1000 page long tome. I couldn't even tell you the plot of this because it doesn't exist. While I appreciated all the new friendships built (and a hint of romance), it didn't come soon enough, nor was it enough to overshadow all the long monologues and descriptions that made me fall asleep.
I didn't particularly care about the main character. My fave was the cat and the little girl - those two I wanted to learn more about but unfortunately, didn't get as much as I wanted.
