Tim Gunn is a really cool guy, and I loved this look into his life. He's got a really pragmatic head on his shoulders and I loved reading the scandalous and the not-so-scandalous anecdotes about his friends, family, and other celebrities. Looking forward to reading his other book now because I really enjoyed his voice.

A really quick, fun book by Project Runway's designer mentor Tim Gunn. While talking about his golden rules that people should adopt to successfully deal with the world, Gunn dishes on himself, Project Runway, and the various celebrities he has met. There are plenty of funny stories about famous people behaving badly but also many other stories that are sad and/or inspiring, including a few personal ones from Gunn's own life.
After reading this, I feel that the world would be a nice, funner place if everyone could follow Tim Gunn's rules and example.

This was a fun and fast read. As far the advice he dispenses: It wasn't anything I didn't know already, and a few times I found it to be contradictory. Also, I was expecting dishier gossip. On the other hand, Gunn writes in a very conversational tone, and it was like having a conversation with him. I liked the book and would recommend it, with the above reservations. Basically, if you love Tim Gunn, you'll like this book. If you don't love Tim Gunn, you need your head examined.

I love Project Runway and Tim Gunn's catch phrase: "Make it work."

This has some nuggets of minding your manners as well as some nice stories involving some of the industry's elite.

A quick and enjoyable read.

It was a light read. His thoughts sometimes go off on tangents like a conversation going off route, but it was nice to just read something that required no thinking.

I love Tim Gunn and I found his first book on style very useful and inspiring. This just sounded like a catty gossip tirade, from someone who would tell you gossip was inpolite...

A lovely book. Yes, there's dish here and there from Runway or about fashion celebrities, but at its heart it's a book on conducting yourself well. Gunn is open and earnest, and he makes an excellent case for bettering ourselves and how we live our lives.

Like spending a pleasant lunch with Tim Gunn. I loved all of his stories, the gossipy and the serious ones. If you love Tim Gunn, this is a must.

This book just convinced me even more that I need to be Tim Gunn's best friend. Need.

Fabulous book. I bought it without reading it first, and I'm so glad I did. Very much worth it.
