I don’t know what to say about this book…I was expecting a good murder mystery with some cozy Christmas vibes but I did not get neither. It was so boring before the twist and I had to skip pages and then after the twist I had to go back and see if I missed any hints, then disappointed that I did not…thank goodness it’s short, otherwise it would definitely be a DNF for me.

I felt nothing after finishing this book. I may as well had spent three hours staring at a wall for all that I got out of this.

First of all, I had no idea what this book was about going in but I liked it. It was a little slow at first but I was interested and then the twist was great. This book did a good job of keeping you thinking.

Cozy, gothic, Christmas murder mystery is just up alley!! I loved the diary entries and I could not put it down. The ending kinda frustrated me just because I expected a twistier ending. But, another great Peter Swanson novel (la). Perfect read for a holiday vacation with a warm fire and hit chocolate! 4/5 ⭐️

Fine. The accent of the narrator was awful which made it harder to endure.

Just like The Kind Worth Killing - the only other book I've read by this author - the ending of The Christmas Guest saved it. Quite short and worth the read if you're a fan of Peter Swanson. Plus, the cover is much nicer in real life.

Christmas murder mystery, a very interesting concept and well executed. You could easily guess part of the ending but the "twist" Was done well and there were a lot of aspects that Still call me off guard. A fun short read, not too traffic for a murder mystery.
One thing I would have liked to see would have been
if  Emma had come to the realization that somce all her brothers victims looked like her, if she hadn't turned herself into an accomplice then he probably would jave kailled her to throw the cops off.

(audiobook) It's a nice murder mystery at Christmas time. Nothing too exciting but fun to listen too. The diary part gives a nice effect and that way you quickly learn about Ashley. The ending felt a little rushed, I would have liked to read a little bit more about what happened to Adam in the end.
