More readable than the first, apart from a few parts of some chapters, but also weirder, given Lily. And again, not much really happened.

This series just keeps getting better and better. There were a ton of curveballs thrown out in this novel that I wasn't expecting. This whole book had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
The character growth in here was beautifully done and definitely showcased. The beginning of the main plot had me slightly confused but once I realized it was time jumps I was able to get sorted out again.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone who likes high fantasy with some modern world thrown in.

Again, these aren' t YA books. Not to say that young adults cannot read and enjoy them, but the mere facts that the trilogy is fantasy, written by a women, and has a young protagonist does not mean that they are primarily suited for a YA audience.
