I really enjoyed this book. It was lighthearted and sweet. I love that there was no BIG drama or misunderstanding! It was just a really good love story with great characters. I loved that Parker is so good with her brother and is such a protective mama bear! And Will is my idea of a perfect Millionaire boyfriend, he has the money but it isn't who he is at all! He's so sweet and real! I would have liked a little more sexiness. I can't wait until book 2 comes out on Audio! The narration was great, I will be watching for more from Eva Kaminsky!

First: It was an ARC that I was given. I was not paid to do the review. All I got was a free copy for a book I would have purchased anyway because I love the author ;)

The story is beautiful. Wonderfully written. I'm a HUGE fan of Bella Andre, and with this story, I became a fan of Jennifer Skully.

This was a story that's guaranteed to make you laugh. It'll make you cry. It'll make you melt, in all the right ways.

I can't even begin to describe how much I enjoyed the book, minus the fact that I literally could not put it down. It took me LESS than a day to read!

The care they put into making sure that Jeremy's character was written to such perfection was a big plus as well. Jeremy had a traumatic brain injury and you could just feel the care that they (the writers) had for him.

I can't wait, at all, for the next in the series! I hope there will be some more Jeremy in the books, because he truly did steal the show.

What a shit book
Sadly I read a lot of shit books cos they're for free on iBooks and cos I guess I want to escape by reading something that lets me switch off
Trouble with these books that allow you to switch off is that they're usually really crap

Breathless in Love is a contemporary romance novel co-written by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully. As a major fan of Bella Andre’s Sullivan series (particularly on audio) I couldn’t resist giving this series a try when it was on sale on Audible. And I really did like Breathless in Love, but it definitely isn’t quite as endearing as the Sullivans series.

Breathless in Love is the first book in the Maverick Billionaire series and focuses on Will Franconi. Will is a billionaire, and he partly owns The Maverick Group, along with his other close friends. Will meets Harper through Harper’s brother, Jeremy, who wrote to Will because he loves Will’s car collection.

Will is such a nice guy, which is always a plus in my book. He did not have a good childhood, and demons from his past still haunt him, but he has worked hard to improve his life. He’s a very busy businessman, but he took time out of his day to visit with Jeremy, because he could relate to Jeremy’s passion for cars. So sweet, right?

Harper is great too, although she did totally frustrate me at times. She has a lot on her shoulders now, having to take care of Jeremy since their parents passed away. It’s a lot of pressure, but Harper is doing well, and is always looking out for Jeremy. I do really admire how Harper has devoted so much of her life to caring for her brother after her parents' passed away. It isn't an easy thing to do, but you can see how much she loves her brother and wants him to be safe and happy.

There is chemistry between Will and Harper right from the get-go, and I was totally feeling it. They are just nice people, and I wanted them to be happy. I loved how Will took a liking to Jeremy right away, and really wanted to help Jeremy stretch his wings a bit. And of course he wants to help Harper, not just get in her pants. Harper has some major walls up, which is understandable. I did see where some of the conflict was going early on and it was annoying. But still, I wanted these two to get together. They belonged with each other.

Breathless in Love did a little set up for the whole series, too, which I liked. I liked getting to know the other guys in the Maverick Group, and I simply cannot wait to get their stories! I love the strong bond these guys formed, and how they’ve helped each other along the way.

I really enjoyed Breathless in Love, and Eva Kaminsky was a fabulous narrator. If you are a fan of contemporary romance, give this one a shot. I don’t think it’s as amazing as a lot of The Sullivan books, but it’s still really good. This review was originally posted on Quinn's Book Nook

  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated

This was a quick read that I started last night. I loved the diversity and showing such a colourfully filled in disabled character and how they're conditions are in no way a stigma. I also liked the message of realising that it is okay to let go of things and allow them to grow independently. It spoke volumes. Will's character was a strong force in this!

Last year, I’ve read all books and novellas, and caught up with The Sullivans, a family I love to visit and revisit. This year I’ve met The Mavericks for the first time through Breathless in Love. I’m loving it, so far. I can see a binge-read of this series in my future plans.
