I listened to this in a very piecemeal way over a very long period. In the part that I remember, Schaeffer traces some philosophical thought through history. It was different from what I expected, and the subject seemed a bit dry at times, but it was actually quite interesting. I'd like to go through it again, and I think that it is worth reading next time (instead of listening).
Excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Everyone should read this book. Emphasizes how worldview not only effects individual lives but culture.
I disagree with his views on "modern" jazz and rock music. Other than that, FAS is my homie.
A good book with a lot of insight. I really like what Schaeffer said about people more easily believing what they want to believe.
This book does a fantastic job tracing the parallels between societal abandonment of Christian values in the West and the gradual death of objective morals, truths, and human value overall.
I think I can mark this as read, because though I technically did not read every page of this book, I watched Francis Schaeffer's video series based on his writing here and took copious notes in which I sometimes referenced the book. So though I should probably read it in full, all the ideas came across.

This is at least the fifth time I’ve read this book in the last 25 years. The older it gets the more relevant it becomes. Especially the last couple of chapters, which speak to the downfall of western civilization as it is taking place today.
