I haven't read a graphic novel in years, but I saw that my little sister had gotten this book from her school's library, and I thought the cover was cute. So, naturally, I stole it while she went to sleep and read the whole book myself (don't worry, I put it back after, and she never even noticed). As for the book though, it was SO GOOD. I absolutely loved the way it incorporated all types of representation into the novel so normally, and I ADORED how inspirational and empowering the message of utilizing your voice is shown throughout the entire book. It was such a good read, and honestly, I think every kid, little girls especially, should read this book at least once.

**Also, I love how there were so many great sources and bits of information about historic protests, at the back of the book!!

A delightful graphic novel about Olive’s run for student council. I loved the informational pages at the end or real protests and change makers.

Quick read. I liked the focus on different ways to take action in the book and the connection to different types of protests throughout history.

This should be required reading.

A good middle grade graphic novel to teach students about the power of protests and free speech.
