I found this play to be interesting. Both the characters and the plot are wonderful representation of how people act during times of persecution.

MR ARTHUR YEAAHHHH!!!! Absolutely loved every moment of this conflict despite reading it for school. Characters were complex and believable, and the stage directions/authorial intrusions uplifted the script SO much. Banged.
It was alright. I didn’t love how it ended, and the introduction at the beginning was a bit droning for me, I truly don’t remember any part of it

I hated this story, but I thoroughly enjoyed the book (if that makes sense). It made me so angry thinking about how similar humanity still is today. I know this isn’t a fully accurate portrayal, but just going off of this book alone. John Proctor slept with a child, and faced the consequences. I do also think Abigail was a disgusting human. And although she was young, (in this story she was 17), she was old enough to know that the lies she told would cost more than just Johns life. She showed no remorse and then jumped on a boat and fled the aftermath. I honestly don’t know who I hate the most out of all these characters.
We had to read it for English class and it is alright for a school book, but I didn't really like the writing style and I also think it's a very very heavy topic (the word tragedy sounds about right to describe it) and if you liked to read this book then I honestly can't understand. It's sort of scary as well.
