This play build up the panic and hysteria with each act and really makes you feel how unnerved and suspicious everyone was during the Salem witch trials as well as the McCarthy era. Miller does an excellent job of giving background information to the characters and creating such strong images of the scenes throughout the whole play. Would really recommend to anyone wanted a quick read with a lot of historical influence running throughout.

The last time I read this was in high school but it was just as fantastic all these years later!

i read this for school but it was a very rare, unique book in comparison to my other required readings. the plot was interesting and deep and complex and symbolic. normally i hate cheating plots in books but i really thought it added a lot to the book and its significance
