Wasn’t captivating me and was blending with too many other contemporary literary fiction books I’ve read that I decided to put it down. Nothing really wrong with it but nothing standing out to make me want to read it over something else.

DESPITE THE TITLE THIS DID NOT DISSAPOINT! I'm still very young so I've yet to experience queer friendships durinG middle age battles but the way the author builds these relationships and stories makes me feel all the feels. I hope Max and her circle have the best lives.

this was a solid character study with some interesting plot twists, but it ended up being a bit predictable in some sections. i liked max’s perspective a lot, but a lot of secondary characters ended up getting lost in the shuffle for me.

I really loved the themes of this novel, but there were so many in such a minimal amount of pages that some of them were superficially explored.
