I distrust endings, badly. But I loved this one.

God, I love the Frieda Klein series. Not wanting this to end, I put off reading this last book, but finally I did. What a great ending to a great story. I'm sad it's over, but I loved every minute of it.

I have been reading this series for a long time now, and it is a bit strange to end it now.

I really liked the book, it felt very similar to the others in the series, in a good way.

I'm going to write down some reasons to try out this book series, as I do feel it's a pretty unique mystery series.

- atmosphere: These books have a quiet atmosphere that pulls you in. It's not flashy with a ton of plot twists, but you get pulled along into the stories.

- characters: The main character is someone that grows on you throughout the books. I found her a bit annoying at first, but that changed as I progressed through the books. The side characters are really great too.

- progression: Because these books are all about the same person, you can see how the stories interconnect and follow each other. Frieda's reputation changes throughout the series, as do her relationships with others.

I really recommend this series of books to anyone who enjoys mysteries/thrillers. They have a unique feeling for me, but one I really enjoy.

Starting with the ending of a series makes for an interesting introduction. Though lacking the backstory, it was easy to understand this cat and mouse game.

Intrigued enough to read the rest of this series, but in order this time.  Especially as it takes inspiration from the rivers of London.

Ever since I first started the series, I continued and read all the books back to back. And it was a nice journey to be a part of Frieda Klein’s world. This book concludes the ongoing serial killer Dean Reeves storyline and gives the series a proper ending. Although I don’t like the books focused on Frieda Klein’s personal problems and the books in which Frieda Klein is on the run not as much as the others with standalone new cases, I think this one was a good ending to the series.  I really ship Karlsson and Frieda, but I think that relationship could have been written more throughout the series. I feel like Karlsson was missing too often in the later books.

My faves of the series are:

1. Tuesday’s Gone
2. Saturday Requiem
3. Blue Monday
4. Sunday Morning Coming Down
5. Waiting for Wednesday
6. Thursday’s Child
7. Day of the Dead
8. Friday on My Mind
