I swear to god, I’m only reading this because the plot and the world is actually interesting + the male leads are well written. Everything about them, their stories, personalities, character development etc is perfect. They are all so different and unique. I really love them.
But the female lead ?? I’m so done with her. She pissed me off in the first book, but I thought she would get stronger and would stop being so annoying as she bonds with her mates and she discovers her powers but NO !! She is even worse, keeps getting mad because she is weak but does nothing to get stronger. Keeps being offended that her mates don’t trust her for protecting herself when she clearly can’t.
She got an awesome power and she only uses it to hide while her mates fight!! Fuck this she better learn how to fight and stop being such a crybaby or I might not finish this series, even tho I fucking love the male leads and the plot with the war with the humans and the dragons.

She won the jackpot with all her current mates. I really like seeing their bonds snap into place and the different ways they mark each-other.
Also Wren getting her special gift?? Finally! I think it was perfect how it happens and I can’t wait to see her explore it more.
I want my own Damien shadowing me wherever I go keeping me safe.
I’m curious to see what will happen between Thorn and Wren if he has to take over the Ice Kingdom.

Okay, this one is not any better than the first one. Female is still almost dumb as a rock. Has absolutely no common sense. Constantly whining about being powerless and in the next sentence claiming that she is so dangerous. Can't move more than 2 feet away from one of her men without almost completely collapsing with worry but then wants to leave them to go into dangerous situations and gets mad because they want to protect her. Then there is the fact that she acts like an animal in heat every time she is even in the same room.
The males aren't much better this time around - they are either crying and/or puking throughout the whole book.

This series is not for me. I finished the first book and gave it 2 stars and said you know what I’m just going to continue it might get better. But honestly it just got worse. Wren was annoying the whole time she kept crying and saying she was weak but never trained or tried to get stronger. And don’t even get me started on her men they kept crying too, every little accident they had someone was crying.

I read books 1 and 2, but this is where I stop. The first two books kept me mildly interested because I wanted to find out about her mates and her power. But the characters are absolutely ridiculous. Kian is a caricature of a shy virgin. Rowen is old, reallllly old, but he lacks wisdom. He can't even control his temper. Wren is so cutesy, it's vomit inducing. There's no character growth. All of the "plot twists" are predictable.
