The Kiss Quotient was such a good read if you’re looking for something adorable , short and also a book with representation. Stella has asperbergers and is an extremly driven hard working woman in silicon valley and Michael is Vietnamese. I loved how well written it was and how you can really understand someone with asperbergers and i loved that the book took place in the bay area because that’s where i live and it was extremely easy to picture the setting. what i didn’t like about the book was the miscommunication and conflict i feel like that could have been resolved way sooner . overall really cute
I didn’t know how I would feel when I started reading this book since romances can be hit or miss but it was the only BOTM that instantly stood out to me. It sounded like a really cute but light-hearted romance (with a Half-Vietnamese love interest - bonus!) I didn’t expect to relate to this story and both of the characters as much as I did. I cried reading the author’s note 😭😭 and I 100% recommend. It was so fun to read and I’m excited for her next book already. Her novels feel like home but fresh and creative at the same time. I’m a fan! 4/5

This was cute. Nothing ground breaking, but exactly what I wanted it to be. And it’s good to have neurodivergent representation in romance.

It's 2:19 am, and I should have gone to bed at least two hours ago but I couldn't put this sexy charmer down.
4.5/4.75 stars
I read this for my Reading Romance Novels vlog, which you can watch on my IGTV! This was also specifically recommended to me by my lovely friend, Brooke.
Stella is a hard-working econometrician who, because of her autism, struggles with intimacy of any kind, but particularly in a romantic or sexual context. When she gets pressure from her mother to settle down, she decides to hire a male escort to help her learn how to be more comfortable in those situations. Michael, who turned to escorting in monetary desperation, has tired of his job but finds Stella to be a breath of fresh air to his stagnating life.
Wow um, I loved this book? The thing that was best in my opinion was Stella’s character. She felt so real to me, and I found myself relating to her more than I would have thought (considering I am not on the autism spectrum). Her side of the relationship and the conflict therein felt very real and natural. Michael, as everyone says, was great, although I’d argue somewhat cliche. Because there was a domestic side to their relationship, I was way more on board with the R-rated stuff. It also helped that they eased into the physical side of the relationship instead of getting straight to it. The ending was very predictable, but I didn’t find that took away from my enjoyment any. Overall, this book just made me really happy while reading it and I had a blast the whole time through. I’m not sure if I’m interested in reading the companion novels, but I’m certainly not against it.
