This book... I don't know where to begin. I had such high expectations for this read because of all the praise it gets online but I ended up being very disappointed. I really wanted to like it but just...couldn't.

The Kiss Quotient is a cute story with important autism representation but the author wanted to put too much stuff in this book and didn't take the time to let everything's play out in a way that feels natural. I thought the first couple of chapters were great, but after that the pace got weird, there were too many things happening and things didn't seem realistic anymore. Stella went from crying on the floor and shivering at personal contact to being mostly comfortable with Michael in what, 3 chapters?

It was too much and too little at the same time. The spice was good though, and that's what saved this book from being 1 star. I wouldn't recommend reading this one, picking up a book like The Love Hypothesis would be a better choice!

Painfully boring. I’m not sure if the characters and dialogue were supposed to be rigid based on the main female character’s perception of them, but much of it felt unnatural. Knowing the FMC has Asperger’s, I kept trying to justify the situations and interactions, but I think it’s simply not executed well.

Once they interact, there’s a strong start but then it backs off of the premise, and I fail to see how they become obsessed with each other, despite the FMC’s insistence that she attaches to things and hyper focuses.

I know neurodivergent people present differently, but it was difficult to empathize, and the MMC was no better because he only talked about his obsession with her nipples. I was dying for him to pick out anything else he liked about her.

Could the F word have been used more?! My rating would have been my usual three stars if it wasn't for the foul language.
