Dialogue was some of the cringiest stuff I’ve read in a long time. If I was in middle school probably would have loved it. Don’t think I’ll read the rest unless I’m very bored.
It’s really hard for an author to make me not care about any of the characters or plot at all, but this book was successful on that front!

I absolutely loved this first book in the series and couldn’t put it down. Great romance with love triangles, action, adventure, and a YA academy full of mysteries and mythical creatures who go on adventures.
i- i finished it because i needed to Know what would happen and i will be haunted by the fact that there's like, 4 more books??? someone stop me from continuing the series for the love of god

Might not be 3 stars even but hey I enjoyed it.
It felt a bit like a fanfic, and I love good fanfics but I have read better ones than this book.
Yet I love a cheesy vampire insta love twilight kinda rip off book every now and again and I want to read the entire series now. It really entertained me despite the cliches and I can't remember the last time I read a big book like this so quickly.
If the author could stop using WTF in every chapter (like... can you at least write: what the f__ or something?), that would be great.
