This one is just so funny. The faces are incredible. The “Marcille is a genius” gag is beautiful. I love it. AND the balance with the darker plot and lore aspects of the story is really well done. I love how this series is largely a gag comedy, while still having the engine of a legitimate fantasy saga. I think this volume exemplifies the appeal of Delicious in Dungeon / Dungeon Menshi.

It’s been a couple of months since I read the last DiD book and this felt like a great return to the series for me. Great action and monsters, an expanded cast of characters including two other adventuring parties – and it ends with them all coming together. Looking forward to the next book.
