Dungeon Food 5

Loving this series and anime immensely, the comedy is one of its best qualities. Love that so many of the characters have hyper fixations, Laos and Senshi especially. I'm sad Falin got mind-controlled away almost immediately after ressurecting her, but it is what it is. This volume felt like a travel section, not a whole lot happens yet.

So much dialogue but it got really good towards the end.

Not my favorite in the series, due to a few weird turns and less focus on the elements I really love about the previous books. Enjoyable enough, though.

In another part of the dungeon, another party is revived and tries to figure out why all of their food is gone but none of their money. One member, Kabru, thinks it might have something to do with Laios. They dodge some body snatchers who were sent to retrieve their dead corpses, then join another group, led by Shuro, who is seeking out Falin. Back with our adventuring group on Level 5, they've decided to go back to the surface and report what they've seen to the Lord of the Island, and perhaps come back a little more prepared to take on the Lunatic Magician. But, the dungeon is moving, which is making getting back to the surface near impossible. The story building behind just eating monsters is getting more intense and more interesting as volumes go on. Kabru starts sowing doubts about Laios and Falin being the most upstanding characters, so either this is from other people's perspectives, or all is not right in the world of our protagonists. Chilchuck is staring to also have some depth and show feelings other than greed. There are quite a few other characters in this volume that haven't popped up in quite some time, so we're getting to the point where a character tree in the front of the book would be helpful. Some of these adventuring parties are getting quite large. Sara's Rating: 9/10 Suitability Level: Grades 7-12
