This book was wild, and I loved it. Though it was twisted, Boy Parts was also really refreshing for me. I don't think I've read something where the main character is so brazen and--frankly--cruel, but I really enjoyed it. The way Clark personified Irina was amazing, and it felt like she was jumping off the page without being too focused on the minutiae. I loved Irina's slow descent into what I assume was a psychological break of some kind; it was crazy how subtle the hints were at the beginning/middle of the story, then they just picked up as the story progressed and it became difficult to distinguish what was actually happening or not. This book was also the first one I've read so far that handled texting and social media in the story in an way that wasn't cringey or try hard. Granted, Flo used cringey language in her blog posts, but that was the point and it just made her way more believable. I can definitely see myself re-reading this book because it was a wild ride and really unique. Honestly, though, nothing was more jarring than some of the crazy ass British slang those folks use, like wtf is going on with that.

Right. So there's a lot to unravel here, this bitch is crazy. She a photographer, and happens to be a murderer at the same time, where her models are victims.
She gets attached to some of them in a strange psychotic way. She basically diced them up and killed him to get certain photos look good, she had a concept,a very sadistic creepy concept.
She was genuinely creepy.

“Do I have to smash a glass over the head of every single man I come into contact with, just so I leave a fucking mark?”

Pros
- very entertaining; i couldn’t stop reading despite disliking the writing style, which is rare for me
- grippingly disturbing
- Will and Eddie were interesting and complex characters

Cons
- messy plot and overdone “plot twist”
- shallow prose and cringy internet jargon
- many unnecessary/underdeveloped characters
- hated all the characters except Eddie and sort of Flo, which i know is the point, but it made the reading experience unenjoyable at times
