This was one of my favourite series I read back in high school. This one in particular, the last book in the series, I remember was my absolute favourite and I re-read it a few times. Branwen goes from being very confident to unsure of her faith in the Shining Ones on her expedition (her character development improved with each book), Iwan's relationship with her comes along rather nicely. And not to mention a very unexpected plot twist, that frankly I would have seen coming now I am older but back then I really gasped! The descriptions were good too. I had hoped there were going to be more books as the end was somewhat open, but alas! It would appear not.

this was such an enjoyable series! I love YA/fiction with warrior girls, but in my experience, it's so hard to find something that a) doesn't make romance a big part of it and/or b) doesn't at least imply sexual assault. the warrior princess series avoids both of these things and I can very gladly endorse it as an easy yet engrossing read! the little romantic hints that were there were nice because it felt like a good evolution of the relationship. AND OH, BLODWEDD, MY HEART - I saw it coming a mile away but still, agh why - that would be my only complaint about this series.

I REALLY HOPE THERE ENDS UP BEING MORE.
