This was such a pleasant surprise. I picked this up because it was available on the libby app when I was frantically searching for something to download before a flight. I have never heard anyone talk about this book before. 
The characters felt complex and well thought out, the plot was captivating, the magic system interesting. 
I will be hunting down other books by this author.

A hauntingly beautiful story, and I mean that incredibly literally. I love Jess so much and the story came to a really satisfying conclusion.
