This was a fun read, especially for someone from the East Coast who is familiar with Smith Island and the other locations mentioned in the book! I think the premise of the book is a fantastic idea, but the execution may have been a little wanting for my tastes. I wish there had been more examples of Piper's and the town’s interactions with Tom and how Anders handled them.

My second book this month with a podcast being a major plot element. Frick Island gives off major kooky small time vibes where everyone knows everyone and even the town curmudgeon has a good heart.  (think Gilmore Girls’ Star’s Hallow) If you find that too cheesy skip this one. If you like a pseudo Hallmark Channel setting and a feel good ending but this on your TBR.
