Lovely book with “surprise” ending that I figured out pretty early. Love Devlin St. Just and have wanted a hea for him. This was it, just took too long to get there. Would have liked an apologies.

The books are just SOOOO good. I am going to flunk out of school if I don't save these for my summer break. That is two that I have now given up much sleep and studying time just to finish. My heart kept breaking for these two characters, and I just wanted to see them happy in the end. I also love that the men in these books are written as emotive, fully fleshed out characters and not just male stereotypes -- they talk to each other, they hug each other, they are unafraid to cry. These qualities make them even more likable!

Devlin is a very well-developed flawed character. His journey throughout this book was very well done and engaging. Emmie is a strong independent character who has secrets. Winnie – the young girl that ultimately brings them together, adds to the story both in terms of spunk and entertainment. It was good to see characters from the previous book.
I found at times that the story dragged on, going over the same issues repeatedly. I would have liked more out of this story then we got, although I did enjoy it, overall.
