There was genuinely some good stuff here but the art was so annoying that I JUST HAD TO take off one rating point .
What I Like
The plot itself is very charming and deep as it manages to show the lighter side to Pamela's character and while doing so also depicts the depth in her character while also discussing a big high stake plot which we sadly don't witness occuring in real time
There were also cool little nods to the previous stories under the All star Batman titles & hint of a big baddie whose identity atleast until now is hidden in shrouds was given .
While in the previous issue the exposition was a turn off and felt unnecessary this issue despite being exposition filled remained relevant and entertaining
Duke story meanwhile remains intriguing as we see the process of Duke's development into a strong willed side kick character with a very unique moral compass and difficult life route to other Bat-family members.
What I didn't like
The art !
Man the art was some serious level of bad , the backgrounds were done really nice and most times appeared as if some kind of Oil-painting on display , but the sketches and facial features were sooooo bad , it made me puke green bile all over it . Maybe it's too artsy but I didn't get this artsy style and definitely didn't like.
Some of the dialogues were really staggering and awkward and felt out of place sometimes , not always but there were a few moments here and there .
There was little fight scene to talk about and whatever was there felt low key , non intense and at 90% of time simply incomprehensible .
Conclusion
This one was really good in terms of plot and character development but the art was really a huge deal breaker , it was also severly confusing and lacking during the action scenes and became more about the words so if you aren't into that it may be a turn off for you . In the end I suggest you read it by borrowing from a friend on in a library and not spend money on it

Wow, maybe the best single issue on Ivy I've ever read. Lotay's art was perfect for this, so lush and sensual. Really love the way Snyder is digging into these villains and their core meanings to Batman. Still not very interested in the plot, but can't argue with the character work. Almost wish Snyder had worked up to Two Face because this work is so much more confident and focused.
