Sometimes when I re-read books, especially when it's been a while (more than ten years in this case, I reckon), I worry that I'll realise the book is no longer as good as it was, that I no longer enjoy it.

I'm happy to say I still enjoyed it the second go-round! Also realised how long it actually is.

Hard read for me- the writing feels more complex which may make sense since it's an older book? Maybe I'll give it another shot in the future.

The world building was my favorite part of this book. I loved the glimpses into all the various cultures. I was totally immersed in the book while reading, even though political intrigue isn't usually my thing.
