Enjoyed this one! Read as short stories at the beginning, but became more cohesive. Ending was a bit unsatisfying and was maybe slightly longer than it needed to be.

I’m not sure how I feel about the ending, which is what lost this some points in my book. However, what I loved the most about this story is that when Razia
realizes who she is, the first feeling is not fear or disgust. I’m happy someone could experience that.

I listened to the audiobook for this. I appreciated the authors narration and found the story to be an insightful and interesting 1st generation coming of age story.
I didn't rate it higher because it concludes feeling very unfinished, like the story wasn't quite fully baked when time came to publish it.

I would have given this book 5 stars but I was dissatisfied with the ending. I understand it, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. An excellent read.

This was one of the best books I have read in a while I couldn't put it down! Rehman's writing style transports you into the story with the detail and color and emotions. The ending had my shook I can't believe she ended it like that but I respect it. I want more of all of their stories.
