I love bees (and pollinators in general) so I was really looking forward to this book, and still enjoyed it even more than I initially expected. It is well paced, informally but intelligently written, and full of interesting information even for people who have done quite a lot of bee specific reading - especially for it lack of undue focus on honeybees. Also important for highlighting the current struggles of bees, which is a sad but necessary topic for any book on the subject.

I like to think that I know a decent amount about bees, so I wasn't sure I'd find a book that would teach me, without being too technical. This book is it! It is filled with fascinating stories of the lives of bees and is such an easy read. I have already recommended it to someone and will continue to do so.
