In No Fear, we meet Aaron, Josh's brother. He gave Josh a hard time when Josh came out, so you can understand where Josh's feelings towards him come from. However, he stays at Blake's house, and gradually learns just who he is and where he wants to be.
This is probably the hardest book so far for me to read, simply because it talked about 'puppy play' which I've heard about, but never read about until now. The thing I love about Nora Phoenix's writing is that none of it is written for shock value. It all plays a part in the whole story, and nicely rounds out the story arcs that continue through this book.
All of the characters are different, so you won't get confused between the differing voices. This IS part of a series though, and definitely can't be read as a standalone. As with the previous two books, it was excellently written, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. I am absolute loving this series, and the way the characters and their lives intertwine. Highly recommended by me.

No Fear is the third book in Nora Phoenix's No Shame series. Note that this series absolutely must be read in order. If you read the No Shame: The Complete Series boxset, there's actually a deleted scene you can enjoy, too. Here's what you can expect:
❤️ MM romance
❤️ Third person multiple points of view
❤️ Happily for now with overarching storyline that continues in No Shame
❤️ Hurt/comfort
❤️ Found family
❤️ Mild puppy play elements
❤️ Redemption arc
❤️ Exploring gender expression

Because this series is laid out quite differently to a lot of others out there, let me take a minute to review the dynamics. No Fear is primarily Blake and Aaron's love story. Aaron is Josh's brother from No Filter and No Limits. This book also has multiple chapters from the first four main character's perspectives (Connor, Josh, Indy, and Noah) and the overarching plotline from the first two books continues.
I didn't expect to love this book as much as I did! It was my first time reading puppy play kink, and if it's something you're unsure about, this would probably be a great way to try it out as it's very mild (note that the puppy play does increase as the series continues). As with the first two books, but especially the second one, we understand why the character is so drawn to the kink and what part of them it's healing. This book also has a great redemption arc for Aaron. Aaron is Josh's brother, and their relationship is strained, at best. We dive a little more into their history and understand what happened from Aaron's perspective. Although they aren't immediately best friends, their relationship takes a turning point towards healing. I really did like Aaron by the end of this book, even though he came off as very unlikeable when we met him (and at the beginning of his story). But never fear, Blake is going to whip him into shape!
I just loved how their relationship developed. They had such amazing chemistry both in and out of the bedroom. I think one of my favourite aspects of this story, other than the character development and redemption, was Aaron's exploration of his gender expression. I definitely had a few tears in my eye when Blake took him shopping for the first time. Blake was so protective of him, and even though Aaron could be considered clingy and codependent (Blake's brothers were very quick to point that out, urgh), and normally that's not something I enjoy reading, but it worked so well in this case. I was thrilled when Blake and Aaron's chapters would come up for this reason! I also enjoyed how the overarching storyline, as well as the relationships between Indy and Noah and Josh and Connor continue to progress. Overall, this and No Limits were my favourite in the series! Happy reading 🙂

This book had me in tears! The dislike to lovers was such a great and beautiful transformation in this book. The kinks aren’t going to be for everyone. As personally I had to get used to it. But Aaron and Blake are so good for each other!
These guys are great. We get some Noah, Indy, Josh and Connor as they continue to deal with the threat to Indy, but now we’ve added Aaron, Josh’s younger brother and Blake. I love Aaron pretty quickly and hate how he was treated by the others. I was so happy when he had someone stand up for him. This was a great book. Loved the audio too. Kenneth Obi does an amazing job bringing these guys to life, his accents are awesome.
Holy smokes!!!! This book was absolutely amazing!!!! Aaron and Blake's relationship is perfect for each of them and you can just feel everything they are going through. Getting caught up with Indy, Josh, Noah, and Connor was incredible. I don't want to say much and take a chance of spoiling the story but you have got to read this book. It is beyond anything.
My least favorite, though I do like that we wrap up some of the big plot points with Indy, Josh, and Connor even while we're having to live through GD puppy play. (My soft limit!)
