No woman needs to read this. Ever.
A bit underwhelming. Nothing particularly new. The book could have been 100 pages long and not lose anything of substance, or 50 pages long and still have the same usefulness. Would force a naive doormat friend to read it as an introduction to a different mindset, but wouldn't advise her to live by it. Repeated themes aside, 60% of the content is stuff that will come natural to you once you fix the root cause of your low self esteem (and viceversa, won't stick if you don't fix yourself), 20% is dating advice everybody - even outside the crowd that reads book like this - has already heard, 10% is total overkills or overreactions, 10% is actual useful and semi-original stuff. Like the chapter about how to renew a man's respect when he's growing lazy or detached! A lot of books only focus on getting a man, which is the easy part if you're a normal looking woman who's fairly pro-social. Overall, I see the point but it's the book equivalent of "this could have been an email" meetings
This was an awesome book- great for all ages (single or married) - to keep for reference as you will read it over and over--so funny and so true! It will keep you laughing and it so works!!!!

At a glance, it’s a lighthearted book with a simple message… don’t lower your standards for a boy. It has some good takeaway messages like maintaining your dignity and not doing too much for someone who isn’t even your partner. Nonetheless most of the notions are outdated and uneasy to read… so I wouldn’t take what this book says as gospel. It was interesting to read and made me think of my past self and how I can be a better person in relationships in the future.
It should be mandatory for every female over the age of 18 to read this book. To call it "life-changing" seems hyperbolic, but it has totally changed my perspective on relationships and given me a lot of insight into my past actions.
Blinkist did the best or the worst job at summarizing this book I'll never know lol.
