Has some issues, but overall it's a lot of fun. I really like the way Bendis uses the X-Men of the past to subtly critique the ridiculousness of today's Marvel universe. If it wasn't so expensive I would pick up the second book soon.

This was really good!

Sometimes I don't like Bendis' dialogue, and I was going in expecting a plot that would make no sense (I'd heard the synopsis and read Battle of the Atom before, so I was expecting some weirdness) but this story lives in the space between the plot, with characters reacting and learning and growing in such relatable ways.

The twists and red herrings are well placed and timed, and the art is consistently breathtaking. I definitely enjoyed this and it makes me want to read all the contemporary work.
