Nikolai, you're the only reason I didn't rate this lower. Boring. So boring. The beginning and the last 30 pages weren't but this book struggled to keep me entertained. Mal is a piece of shit. He couldnt handle Alina doing her girlboss thing and he felt left out. " oh Alina I don't want you to be special because if you're special I can't have you " shut tf up. Pls. She kinda has a army to run and a world to save sorry she doesn't have time for you?? Alina didn't annoy me as much as she did in the first book but also annoyed me more because she stayed with Mal. Girl. You don't owe him shit. He chose to follow you don't feel bad. Anyways, back to Nikolai. I knew I liked this guy the second I met him. He isn't a possessive shit face which honestly should be the bare minimum but these books really be trying to convince us that Mal is the best. Nikolai has a personality, and its great. He has a sense of humor which is honestly so refreshing because everyone else in this book is so unfunny it hurts.

Okay that was a messy review but oh well.
I will be reading the third one yes, I hope it's at least decent.

3.75 - Not much happened in the middle....a lot of waiting around for the plot to move.

Tolya y Tamar supremacy.

I loved this trilogy, but this book in particular felt a bit too fast paced for me personally. I would've loved a bit more content on the sea whip and the actual hunt for it, it felt a bit too easy to me idk

"Siege and Storm," the second installment in Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse, mirrors some of the first book's pacing problems but showcases significant growth in Bardugo's writing. This sequel brings a deeper, more compelling narrative and a clearer evolution in character development. It's refreshing to witness Bardugo's maturation as an author, as she crafts a world that feels more robust and detailed. While not without its flaws, "Siege and Storm" marks a promising step forward, suggesting an upward trajectory for the series' concluding chapters.
