4.5 stars just because I enjoyed the first one more, I like the tension leading up to a relationship rather than the actual relationship, in general not just in this book. But I still LOVED this graphic novel, super cute and heartwarming. I also really loved seeing Charlie and Nick supporting each other through their own battles during the graphic novel.

I’ve never really been a graphic novel reader, but I wanted to dive into Heartstopper before watching the show, and I’m so glad I did. It was just as cute and sweet as everyone said it would be, and I ended up flying through each volume.

The characters are so lovable, and the way Alice Oseman tackles big themes—like identity, mental health, and friendship—feels heartfelt without ever being heavy-handed. It’s warm, uplifting, and honestly just made me smile the whole way through.

Now I’m officially a graphic novel convert…at least when it comes to Nick and Charlie.
