Re-reading these after projecting my prior relationship onto it, and then processing the abuse I went through, and then realizing that everything I thought this book mirrored in my life was just a desperate attempt to make myself feel like I was getting the romance I always hoped for, because I knew I wasn’t, is like crazy eye-opening. Especially now that I’m in a very healthy, comforting relationship and I can actually notice the similarity in Nick and Charlie’s relationship and my own. It makes me feel so at peace. I really love being queer, there’s something so special about it, and about being loved!!

soooooo I might have sat in a Barnes and Nobel for a few hours reading these since my network of libraries didn't have 2-5. I didn't think I would like a graphic novel as much as I did, I love the story that Alice started and the way they progress in each book and how giddy one feels reading about young love. In this one in particular I love how understanding Char is to Nick after he comes to terms with who he is and doesn't try to rush or push him into feeling uncomfortable. We love a young healthy relationship!
