Y con esta termino la trinidad de MXTX, de las tres la mas extensa y la mas triste, e inesperadamente la que me provoco mayor calidez en el corazón.
De todos los personajes de esta autora, definitivamente el protagonista de esta novela, Xie Lian, es uno de los mas puros de corazón, paso por tantas dificultades y sufrimientos, por tantos altibajos emocionales, casi se rompe como persona y aun así al final se mantuvo firme a su forma de ser, de los mejores protagonistas que he leído.
El desarrollo de la historia tampoco se queda atrás, si bien es bastante larga y existen muchos arcos a lo largo de la novela, donde en cada uno se presentan personajes nuevos y entrañables, cada una va hilando aspectos importantes que hacen de la historia algo muy complejo y hermoso. Donde no todo lo que te presentan al principio es lo que parece, incluso te da la sensación de que no puedes confiar en nadie porque siempre hay sospechas detrás de actos buenos... esa intriga es lo que mas me atrapo, y al final... uff.
La historia de amor que se presenta en esta novela es también algo que disfrute mucho ya que que nace de la admiración.
Una historia preciosa que invita a la reflexión sobre muchos aspectos de la vida y el como puede afectar unas simples palabras en la vida de una persona.

This book is an absolutely gut wrenching novel that left me feeling breathless once I finished it. The arcs within the story are beautifully written, especially when it comes to the Black Water Arc, with emotion and humanity brimming in every page. You fall in love with the characters, you fall in love with the way they interact with each other, and you fall in love with the love portrayed in the book. I don’t think anyone who read this fully has stepped away and NOT declared themselves as wanting a love similar to the deep bond that Xie Lian and Hua Cheng carry. There is a mutual respect, adoration, passion, and trust that is so beautiful that you find yourself thinking of them as soulmates.
Xie Lian’s character is a personal favorite of mine. His story is an absolutely heartbreaking one that makes you feel like slamming your book on the floor and sob. He’s someone who’s lost everything he had, his kingdom, his people, his family, his friends, his godhood twice, and even his own luck, and yet he still acts with kindness and shows love. His simple determination and witty thoughts draw you in and before you know it you’re attached to him nearly as much as Hua Cheng is! He’s a man who has had the worse happen to him, he has every reason to hurt others and lash out, but he does not succumb to it.
And the Black Water Arc? Oh man. The entirety of that arc was BRILLIANTLY written! I felt myself on the edge of my seat the more we got into it and by the end I was nearly screaming my head off! The tension! The characters! The tragedy! The blood! It was all PERFECTLY DONE!
This book was stunning in so so many ways. I don’t think I’ll ever recover!
