Absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the next one. Sarah J Maas keeps me up at night again! BUT the blurb would have ruined a lot of it for me if I read blurbs, don't read it!!

Wow that was a journey! I’ve been wanting to read this forever but it’s so many pages! But it’s true that once you get into this world, all you want to do is read and keep going. I definitely got invested. In fact I’m much more invested in the side characters actually. I’ll just keep on reading these books! They’re excellent. I can’t give it 5 stars because there was no sex. What the heck?! I was bummmmmed.

Another hit by SJM. Starts off a bit slow and has A SHIT TON of info dumping and complicated worldbuilding that will SMACK you in the face, but once the plot kicks off, (and you'll know when it will) It's a rollercoaster. And one I really, really, enjoyed. Once thought I'd never make it past this book, but here I am now, writing this review. It is so worth it.

I have not had a book make me cry with anger, sadness, joy, etc. in a long time. This is my favorite series by SJM so far in her writing career.

I read this book for the first time almost exactly two years ago—and then proceeded to forget everything that happened in it. So I did a quick reread so I could continue the series.

This book fell victim to one of SJM’s favorite way of conveying plot twists: long ass unnecessary monologues. The plot itself was interesting enough to me, with some twists and reveals that weren’t TOO obvious.

I’m not usually a big fan of urban fantasy (it’s goofy to me when the fae are communicating to each other over text—pls keep them in high fantasy settings) but it was still enjoyable.
