Good book. Short and easy reading. Cute characters that are easy to understand and like.
I thought this was a great book about 4 friends who are very different but close. They share a pair of pants that "magically" fits them all and helps to give them courage when they need it, while they are spending their summer apart from each other.
a book about friendship. Ull probably think like oh jeez it's another one of those teen drauma-trauma stories with the stuck up mean girl out to get the nice innocent friendly girl with a group of supa friends that stick out for her yawn right? Well I liked this book because these 4 girls who were completely different seemed to be the best of friends. Personally my fave character was Bridget becase she is energetic and sporty. This book shows the adventures of these 4 friends in one summer when they are apart.
Perfect summer read. I watched the movie years ago, and this is just so nostalgic. Quick, fun read with lovable characters!
Still love this book <3
It holds so many amazing memories for me and still stands up today. This series not only helped build friendships I had at the time to be stronger but also helped me through similar situations that the characters experienced. Primarily Carmen.
It is such a great read still.

This wasn't a terrible book, by far. Actually, once you get past the cliches (grrl power, friends forever, finding your one true love at the age of 15) it's a pretty clever idea, and well-written to boot. [Author: Ann Brashares] has a knack for capturing emotions in her writing, and even the stereotypical characters ring true. I doubt that anyone's life will be changed by this series, but for a round of lazy Sunday reading, it's perfect.
I meant to read this book before the movie came out (years ago...I think close to a decade, now?) and...didn't. I have to say. I'm glad I saw the movie first. It's one of the few movies that I enjoyed more than the book. Lena's story is quite different - much less exposition that made sense. The other three's stories remained, for the most part, faithful. I enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would.
