4.22 AVERAGE

A wide-eyed, feral girl is “rescued” from the foliage and brought to civilization, where everything is incorrect. Wilder-than-life spreads of the girl’s attempted civilizing (white space abounds here) urge away readers’ inhibitions.

Very good. Well-written, unique and arresting illustrations. Not overly-complicated.

She is so darn cute in a wild sort of way.

What a gorgeous little book.... in so few words an amazing message is protrayed. I adored this little read!

#SEL #identity great little book about a child born in the wild and how there are attempts to tame her.

A little girl has grown up in the wild forest...being taught how to survive by the animals. She is found by hunters and brought to civilization where people try to tame her. But she resists; and she eventually runs away (with a few furry friends!) to live happily in the wild.
Beautiful illustrations, with many details to make you want to go back and look more closely.
reflective fast-paced

Debated the rating because I despised the humans and how they tried to civilize the MC; but ultimately the book was worth it.

THIS BOOK WAS ADORABLE. I love how the sweet girl did not conform to what society wanted for her and it just made my heart warm. <3
