This book was amazing! There are many parts that had me laughing hysterically to the point of tears, and many parts wondering what was going to happen next. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in the series. For once, I was not correct on my assumption of who the murderer was. Weighted go, keep the twist interns coming.

In the 39th book of the In Death series, Eve is investigating the murder of a man who had more enemies than friends.
It's kinda crazy to think that I've read thirty-nine books in this series now. What keeps me coming back to this series? The characters easily for one. I love Eve and Roarke and all of the secondary characters. But it is also the mysteries that keep me returning to this series over and over again. I love that I can lose myself in this futuristic version of New York that the author has created with characters I love and mysteries that I can't set down. These books never fail to be the perfect comfort read/slump buster whenever I need it. This book had a solid mystery that kept me guessing. I figured out the whodunnit in the end on my own, but I still found the ending to be a fun one that I'm guessing others might not see coming. This was a really solid addition to this series overall.
Mystery readers and also those who enjoy romantic suspense should give this series a try. I always say start back at book one for the full experience (and really to come to love these characters) but really you could probably start anywhere in the series and be okay. Four stars for this book. Five stars for the series overall because I am never gong to be able to quit it.
