There's nothing better than a Eve/Roarke story around Christmas time.

I also like the stories that revolve around a murder victim who turns out to not be so nice. Eve and Peabody do the job. They give the best they have, even it it's for a dirt bag.

I had the who figured out pretty early on, but it was definitely interesting watching Eve get to it.

GREAT book! I just wish the wait wasn't so long between books :)

Hmm, I have a feeling that Robb will end this series soonish. That of course is relative, by soonish I mean probably going to end with book #50. Eve is in a good place mentally, all of the friends and family are in a good place, and even with the somewhat new addition of Garnette everything is pretty smooth on the personal front. I do want to see Peabody and McNabb get married, that is something that will have to be done before the series can end, and I know that she said that it'll be officially over when Eve is pregnant so I know that will eventually happen.

One of the top personal trainers of New York has been killed. Turns out he deserved it. Honestly this mystery was a little weak sauce to me, I didn't really like how it all shook out in the end, especially since I feel like where he got the mixed drug was never fully explored. I loved the whole Eve running the party bit, and the whole gift thing. Her sicking Mavis on the workers was great. I wish there was some sort of personal drama though, between Peabody and McNab, or anything to do with their love life something!!

For fans of the series, if you've held on this long keep going

Good story, nice storyline, interesting mystery. Like how Eve is growing a little -- her Christmas shopping trip was great -- and needing to wrap Roarke's gifts! Enjoy these books very much

This one was ok! I found the storyline to be lacking drive and the social lives of the characters wasn't really central to the plot like it normally is. Still! I'm excited to read the next one!

Eve and company investigate the murder of a personal trainer with a mean streak. The question arises as to who didn't want the jerk dead.

A solid installment although to be perfectly honest, the victim is such a nasty piece of work that it is difficult to summon up much sympathy for him. The twist at the end is pretty good although it isn't all that surprising.

The Christmas shopping/party scenes are cute and add a festive air to the book.

I love this series and I particularly enjoy the ones based around the holidays, it's interesting to see another side of the characters. I think the series needs another angle to follow now we seem to have explored the childhoods of the main characters. It seems to be drifting along a little now.
