It had some fun potential but it needed more fleshing out (also for the main plot to have taken more than 2 days)

Also, this might be petty, but I really need cis-female authors to stop thinking that putting lube on the guys (huge) dick means they can just shove it in with no prep. Thanks.

Also warnings, this does contain MPreg

My only complaint is that I would have liked a longer audiobook, a longer story, especially the part between Alex’s kidnapping and rescuing. I’d love to see more moments between the MCs, more moments of them connecting and discovering each other and the similitudes/differences between their cultures. Basically more world-building and characters interactions.
Other then that, it was really good. Fast and sweet and sexy, and beautifully narrated by Kirt Graves!

I'll be totally honest. I did not expect to like this book as much as I did! Omegaverse is very hit or miss for me, but I was pleasantly surprised here!

Alex's job is to initiate first contact with sentient alien life. Things don't always go smoothly but those are situations he and his team are trained to handle, so he's not too worried about meeting the nassa. But after a rocky start he finds himself whisked away by one of their leaders (who keeps calling him an omega for some reason?) and quickly finds himself married off. It's been a rough 24 hours.

A lot of the traditional omegaverse things - treating omegas like property or toys, alphas being dickheads, the whole story focusing on pregnancy - weren't present here. And honestly, I loved that! Omegas are practically worshiped and showered with love. While they aren't expected to work they are still respected and heard. The nassa has such a lovely little society that I appreciated more and more as the story progressed.

“I do now, and always will cherish you,” I promised. “There is nothing left for you to fear or desire in life.”

I think what I loved most here is the story focusing on the relationship between Saar and Alex. They chemistry between them was honestly amazing and they complemented each other so well. The alien-human culture clash is really the only "miscommunication trope" I enjoy reading about, even if I was still frustrated with the characters (Alex, learn to speak up and Saar, learn to listen to your partner when he tells you something).

I also have a major soft spot for aliens thinking humans are adorable stories.

"I realized there was a correlation with the pink in his cheeks and embarrassment. That was the cutest thing I'd ever heard of!"

This book was such a guilty pleasure. A fun bit of sci-fi and some unconventional romance. The mpreg elements aren't a focus of the story and are only mentioned a bit. I'm excited for the next one!

It was a lovely book but felt a little short.
