When Marc Sterling intercepts a phone call from Sabrina Cassidy, he pretends to be his best friend and offers to come get her. He knows exactly what he is going to do when he sees her, send her packing in another direction, he wants her nowhere his friend whose heart she broke. Marc plans begin to fall apart when he sees Sabrina, and the tension they have always had turns to a chemistry that is too difficult to deny.
Sabrina just wants to go home, pregnant and alone she wants to do what is best for the baby. As Marc continues to throw obstacles in her path, Sabrina can't deny that she is falling for him and when her old friend Luke offers marriage, Marc finds himself wanting it to be him instead.

I fell for Marc immediately. And I love enemies-to-lovers stories. But Sabrina was not such a great heroine. It is not that I really disliked her, she had some endearing qualities, BUT she also came across as a selfish little brat most times. Although she was falling in love with Marc, she kept the other guy hanging and was still debating marrying him. It was explained a bit WHY she did those things, but I did not like the fact that Kat (her best friend!) was in love with Luke and never told Sabrina or that Sabrina never figured it out. And also I did not understand why everyone kept protecting Sabrina and wanted her happiness while she did not seem to care about the happiness of those around her.
The story would have been great without the whole proposal-thing. Very well written though and HOT.
Wished for an epilogue but I think that is because the next story is about Kat.
