If this show is going to be a continuous series I am all in.

I'll probably come back to it, but I've not read any of it in many months and I have many other books I'd prefer to read

I just couldn't get into this series. I read this one just to see if the series got better as it went, but it did not for me. Highlights for me were reading about Hera (from the Rebels animated series) post Empire days. But that's about it. I never felt invested in the characters or events in these 2 books.

My god. That was intense.
The only reason I gave this one a lesser rating is because I'm not great with following the space battles and there was a lot more of that in this one. I just wanted to skip most of the action and get to the personal, emotional journeys of these amazing characters. The characters are absolutely the highlight. If there was not as much focus on the battles I would give it a 5, but this is just my personal taste.
Also, this was the first Star Wars (adult) novel I've only read instead of listening along to the audiobook. Which made it specially harder to get through those space battles :P I wish I was better at visualizing them.

With that said, I still couldn't stop reading, specially the parts from Quell's prespective, she's definitely my favorite character in this, but I also love the others in different ways...
I am one of the few people who really liked Caern Adan's character...  I was heartbroken by his death... It really shocked me. I just wasn't expecting it. But it was a really emotional death IMO... Also can't believe IT-O is gone :'( I loved that torture therapist droid, it was a so sad to see him malfunction like that

I'm so excited to get to the next book!
