As a piece of history it might be of interest, as a novel it's borderline unreadable.
i don’t really have an opinion, this was assigned reading so i had to analyze rather than enjoy. it’ll be interesting to research and evaluate.
Condemning slavery because it might oppress “one of the good ones”. Crazy takes. At least it was short and flowed well
2.5 (ish?) I can appreciate what the author was trying to do with the semi demi-god depiction of the Oronooko and his life… but this was still hella racist.
