is this text from 1688 problematic??? gasp. anyway very interesting to discuss in class. most of the reviews miss the historical context of the glorious revolution shit which is whatever but is like 50% of what makes the text fascinating imho, along with its place as a stepping stone to the novel as we know it. behn is a royalist whose also one of the first working women writers whose also kinda sorta anti-slavery but not really she mostly just hates the dutch sooooo fucking much. fuck that Orange guy amiright.
