Sure the book is ok but I listened to an audiobook read by the Author! It was appalling....very monotonous!

Try reading not listening to this one as it was completely spoiled

I love cows--grew up on a diary farm and am now vegan and I guess I expected this book to be less about farming than it was. As a child, I befriended cows and noticed a lot of their behaviors, so some of this book's anecdotes, while nicely told, weren't groundbreaking to me. Some sweet stories, though. And the book also talks about hens and birds and sheep and pigs. It was a nice read in parts, but probably more useful for someone who didn't grow up around animals.

This was a cute book. It made me want to share my own experiences growing up on my family’s dairy farm. I do wish she shared even more experiences instead of going on the organic rant-though that did open my mind to potential purchase changes.

It’s not a science book as the title suggests. It’s just stories of the authors cows. It was interesting but I wanted more. Cows did A because of XY and Z more like Sex in the Sea or Sex at Dawn. I’m very disappointed. It’s a nice idea for a blog, but really the writing is somewhat pour, and the author tries to be cute or interesting but it fails.

Very sweet and light-hearted. I would have been interested to know more about the farm's operations (logistics, profitability etc) but I also like that the focus is firmly on the cows.
