3.75 ✨ Princess Diaries + Tokyo Ever After + Truly Devious + Sadie (ish)
Honestly, great book. I loved that this was a mystery combined with such a princess diaries vibe. Dealt with sexual assault in a realistic way. I think I missed the connection between Evan and Kit but I’m interested in seeing their relationship in the sequel.
Disclaimer: I cannot stand the style of artwork on the cover apart from the font choices.

Look. You need to suspend a LOT of disbelief for this (are we supposed to believe the royal family has a private jet that isn’t being tracked on aviation… things? In 2023? Come on) but once you do it is enjoyable AF. A lil romance, a lil vengeance, and a lot of drama.

this book was just drama upon drama, and I ate that sh1t up
I like this book. Although, I don’t think it should be categorized as “Thriller” because there’s not enough suspense in this. Lots of drama, yes. But thrills?? No.
I’m intrigued enough to want to read the next book, but I’m not too excited.

Storys mit royalen Background sind mein #guiltypleasure & so musste ich bei diesem Klappentext einfach zugreifen, i mean: #MurderMystery meets #Monarchy ? Wow
A fun look at British royalty, fame, and family.
Evan, the King of England’s illegitimate daughter, has spent a lifetime keeping secrets and yearning for a place to call home. After getting kicked out of her latest boarding school, she is forced to spend the summer in London with her father and the royal family, who aren’t exactly thrilled she exists. Evan just wants to make it to her 18th birthday and be done with the father who has never acknowledged her, but when family secrets and her identity are revealed, Evan's life takes a dramatic turn.
Hand this book to readers who like family drama.
I will need to grab the second book in the trilogy when it's available.
