For those readers who have ever been haunted by a decision, even if it had been made in an instant and decades before, you will understand having to deal with regret much like the protagonist Amir has in "The Kite Runner." Hosseini's characters and their actions ring so true that it is inevitable that it will make the readers remember their own successes and failures. Highly recommended.
