A powerful and emotional story that really pulls you in. I was especially struck by how it explores guilt, loyalty, and the complicated nature of family and friendship. Some scenes were hard to read but incredibly impactful, and the characters felt very real, flawed but human. While a few plot points relied too much on coincidence, making parts of the story feel predictable, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

This was such a beautifully written story. I was touched by the growth of Amir’s character, when I had no faith in him in the beginning of the book. The story between Amir and Hassan goes full circle in a heartbreaking way. I will forever hold these characters in my heart. I think the ending was perfect.
