Memorable and intense. Best Book I've read for a long time.

an interesting story that gives a small look into the culture that once existed in Afghanistan.

I read this for my A Levels and I hated it. It depicts Pashtuns as evil when in reality they are not. I feel like the rape scene was so forced like there was a need to have something tragic in there.

amazing book. i would recommend it to everyone!

this sjit was so sad, so sad because this was someone's life. living in a war ridden country takes a certain toll on one that nearly you lose it all — sadly (and realistically) in this book, it was an eight year old boy. i tgink that this is a must read atleast ONCE in one's lifetime... there's obviously no villains in this book but obviously it was his fucking baba. THAT MAN WAS WICKED.
