This was an incredibly entertaining listen. I learned some very surprising ’butterfly effects’ that free porn has had on people in the porn industry, to the viewers, to the purveyor of free porn himself.

Fascinating audiobook! I learned a lot about the industry, the people working in it and the effects of free porn on different seemingly unrelated aspects of society.

There's something so deeply compelling to me about the way Jon Ronson tells stories. For the record, it's not just the soothing way words gently flow from his Welsh mouth, although that certainly helps. What makes Ronson's work ever intriguing is the way he effortlessly navigates spaces traditionally veiled with judgment and shame, all the while never participating in the furtherment of those stigmas. He has no desire to dictate a narrative for clicks or to drive outrage; instead, he seemingly operates without an agenda other than diving as deeply into his rabbit hole of choice as possible. The results are remarkable. With an unassuming, bespectacled demeanor, Ronson can infiltrate nearly any community of his choosing with interviewees opening doors that would be inaccessible to a more prickly journalist.

Bullet Review:
An example of a freebie that isn't complete trash, this is a fascinating insight into the way internet porn has changed the industry in ways no one could have expected - from the livelihoods of the porn stars and creators themselves to the young men and women who now struggle to perform.

Per the usual with Ronson. Crazy interesting topics. Unique. Well written. Stories of the unknown. Heartfelt and sad. So different. The Butterfly Effect about free porn on the internet. Loved it.

I absolutely loved this short, episodic audio book. It was really fascinating and wrapped up in a way that choked me up a little bit. I absolutely recommend it.

Dark topic and vague concepts. The book is about an ever-growing industry and whilst the author hints at the butterfly affect - it could have been elaborated further and rounded off better.
